Our Certified Orthodontists

Dr. Jiabao (Ellen) Sun is originally from Beijing, China. She attended Case Western Reserve University where she completed her undergraduate studies in three years summa cum laude, and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the top of her class.  She received the American Association of Orthodontists Award when she graduated from the dental school. She then ventured out to Pittsburgh to complete her orthodontic residency and Master of Dental Science degree at the University of Pittsburgh, where she also became board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Ellen enjoys spending time with her husband and her son. She has a salt-and-pepper miniature schnauzer named Maodou, which means edamame in Chinese. She also has a calico domestic short hair named Fiore, which stands for flower in Italian. During her free time, Dr. Ellen loves baking cakes and trying out different cuisines with her family.
